Skating in Innsbruck is awesome and allowed most places, but there are a few basic rules to follow:
Where you CAN skate:
Sidewalks - just keep in mind, pedestrians have right of way.
Pedestrian zones - Slow down to walking speed if it’s crowded
Dedicated bike paths that are separated from the street
Bike lanes on the road ONLY if thes are separated from traffic by a solid line
Crosswalks - if you’re near one, use it! Press the button and wait for the green light to avoid a ticket.
Where NOT to skate:
🚫 indoors (it‘s probably ok grabbing an ice cream cone, but not in a grocery store)
🚫 in the street with cars
🚫 on public transit
🚫 anywhere that signs prohibit
We’ve saved our top picks to google maps.
